Medical research is the study of a disease, its cause, its impact on individuals and populations, and the study of new medicines or other therapeutics.

Research can be as simple as completing a survey or giving a blood sample.

Research can also be complex, like participating in a Clinical Trial
Research cannot be done until participants are educated about the research study and give their consent to participate.
Most research is highly confidential.
Researchers have the duty to make sure research is as safe as possible for participants.
